This Day in History: 1963-07-13
Work started on improvements at the Toodyay Showground. A busy bee dismantled the old liquor bar, which was being replaced by the conversion of the wool pavilion. A new wool pavilion was to be erected between the refreshment booth and the main entrance gate to provide greater space for a more attractive display. A new Secretary’s Office was to be situated in the angle formed by the Lee-Steere annexe and the main pavilion. The main gate was off Telegraph Road.
