This Day in History: 1963-01-14
A disastrous bushfire occurred 10 miles south-west of Toodyay, near the Avon River, at the junction of Lovers Lane and Cobbler Pool Road. The fire went through the properties of F. Walker, Miss E. Markey, S.S. Sinclair and a portion of the Deepdale Estate, but no buildings, hay or livestock were lost.
