This Day in History: 1962-10-07
Two serving Toodyay Shire Councillors, Keable Dudley Lee of Toodyay and Kenneth James Orr Stevenson of Wattening, were presented with long service certificates in recognition of their fifteen years’ service as members of the Toodyay Road Board and the Toodyay Shire Council. The presentations were made at a buffet luncheon arranged to entertain prominent persons who were visiting Toodyay for the official opening of the Old Gaol Museum, later in the day. Dallas Edward Ludemann, Shire President, introduced James F. Craig, M.L.A., who made the presentations.
