This Day in History: 1957-04-08
The Premier Albert Hawke visited Toodyay and received a deputation of representatives of the Avon Valley Developmental Council regarding the desnagging of the Avon River. The Premier inspected the river in the West Toodyay area and stated that clearing work would begin in January 1958.
