This Day in History: 1955-11-12

The Toodyay Road Board adopted a proposed scheme of drainage of storm and sullage water on the southern side of Stirling Terrace from Oddfellows Street to Clinton Street, for an estimated cost of £2,500. A loan was sought for this project. Affected owners/occupiers were to be charged 1/3 the cost.
[Sullage is ‘waste water from household sinks, showers, and baths, but not waste liquid or excreta from toilets.’]
