This Day in History: 1954-08-14
The first stage of the first two-day teams cycling race in W.A., arranged by the Victoria Park Amateur Cycling Club, was planned to finish around 11.30am, in Stirling Terrace, Toodyay, opposite the railway station. The race ran from Victoria Park to Toodyay via Red Hill, then on to Goomalling, Northam, York, and back to Perth.
