This Day in History: 1951-01-25

Brian Buzzard and Company’s modernized showrooms on Stirling Terrace, Toodyay (ie at No. 112, the current Toodyay Real Estate premises, formerly L.J. Hooker), were officially opened by Ernest H. Lee Steere, President of the Toodyay Agricultural Society. The event was broadcast live on Radio 6AM, hosted by compere John Luke. Goodyear Tyre Company representatives L. McCurry, A. Casson and J. Harrington installed the modern fixtures in the showrooms.
