This Day in History: 1950-10-02
1950 October: Industrial Extracts Ltd. offered Dutch immigrant Jack (Johan Jacob) Holzmann the contract to build 7 houses near the extracts factory site, on the Toodyay-Northam Road. Holzmann had already renovated the old boarding house in Toodyay for the company. He later built more houses for the company in Stirling Terrace, Toodyay.
