This Day in History: 1950-02-08
‘Miss Toodyay II’ arrived in Toodyay, having been driven to WA from Melbourne. Prince & Booth’s new passenger service bus, the Panhard Diesel, made in France, was the only one of its kind in Australia. The 6 ½ ton vehicle had a pale blue and cream exterior, and could carry 37 passengers. The old bus, ‘Miss Toodyay I’, continued to carry high school students from Toodyay to Northam.
