This Day in History: 1949-08-27
The first load of timber was delivered for the construction of the ‘Myrtan’ tannin extract factory near Lloyd’s Pool on the Avon River, two miles from Toodyay. Industrial Extracts Ltd. had bought premises in Toodyay to accommodate its technicians.
