This Day in History: 1947-05-04

1947 May 4-5: The Toodyay Speed Classic, a light car racing event, was held on a 1 ¼ mile course around the town of Toodyay. The event was run by the Toodyay & District Progress Association (President Lionel Leslie Herrod) and the W.A. Sporting Car Club Inc. The two-day event included a Hill Climb and an Old Crocks’ Race (for models up to 1929)
