This Day in History: 1942-04-10
The United Press moved the office of the Toodyay Herald to the office of the Goomalling newspaper the Weekly gazette, in Railway Terrace, Goomalling. Local printer and Editor W.M. Ferguson became the Herald’s Editor. The previous Herald Editor, K.H. Thompson, had enlisted as had the District representative, J.A. Sorenson, and no local replacement was available. The Herald office in Toodyay remained open in the charge of Miss E. Fleay.
