The Toodyay National Emergency League held a Grand Ball in the Toodyay Town Hall as the culmination of the local Queen Carnival that had raised £450. The Queen of Toodyay Mrs. G. (Ellen) Rayner was the most successful fund-raiser and was crowned the Carnival Queen, supported by the Queen of Nunyle, Mrs. G.J. (Patti) Parkins, and the Queen of Bolgart, Mrs. C.J. (Madge) Martin.
