This Day in History: 1939-09-19
The Toodyay Road Board held a public meeting in the Town Hall to co-ordinate the efforts of every person willing to assist in alleviating distress during these critical times (ie World War 2). It was resolved to form a national service organization, which would be attached to and assist the Toodyay Branch of the Red Cross Society.
