The Toodyay State School won the Cockram Shield for the third time outright at the Royal Show, for the best rural school judged from an agricultural activity viewpoint. The actual work done by the boys on the school plot was illustrated by photos and diagrams, showing the progress of the crops. The Kulyaling school, between Brookton and Pingelly, again achieved second place.
