This Day in History: 1936-10-30
Sleeper cutter and ex-champion Victorian axeman, William Higgins (37), while riding a motor cycle, crashed into a pepper tree in Stirling Terrace, Toodyay. He was killed instantly. Higgins had come to WA two months prior to his death.
