This Day in History: 1933-04-25

An ANZAC Day dawn service was held for the first time in Toodyay, which was well attended.  A record crowd gathered at the Memorial Park for the afternoon service, which was conducted by the President of the Toodyay Sub-branch of the Returned Soldiers’ League (Robert Alfred Johnstone), assisted by Revs. Frederick George O’Halloran (Anglican) and Alwyn Schroeder (Methodist, Northam).
