This Day in History: 1931-01-01

The inaugural sports meeting held at the Toodyay Showgrounds under the auspices of the Toodyay Traders’ and Progress Association was very successful. The varied programme of log chopping, running, tent pegging, bicycle races and motor car driving was appreciated by a large attendance. Prizes were awarded and the proceeds were given to the Toodyay Relief Fund for the unemployed.
