This Day in History: 1930-07-04

A public meeting was held in the Lesser Hall in Toodyay, chaired by Edmund Glover Hasson, Chairman of the Toodyay Road Board, on the issue of the 32 people on the district’s unemployment list. A motion was passed that the Road Board should do something to find work for these people. It was also suggested that the Road Board open a public subscription list.
