This Day in History: 1930-03-06

The Western Mail did an illustrated feature on the school buses (charabancs) used in the Toodyay district to get school children to the Toodyay State School: the Coondle-Culham bus, the Norman Area  bus, the Dumbarton Area bus, and the West Toodyay horse-drawn bus, which had been replaced by a motor bus.  The Toodyay Boy Scouts 50th Troop, with Scoutmaster Charles Burnett, was also featured.
