This Day in History: 1929-10-24

Toodyay’s first WA Centenary function was held in the Town Hall, when a large number of people assembled for a period ball, organised by the Toodyay Branch of the Country Women’s Association of Western Australia. Many of those who were present were descendants of some of the State’s earliest citizens, and a feature of the evening was the number of old-time dresses and costumes worn. The proceeds were donated to the Toodyay Hospital.
