This Day in History: 1929-07-18

Members of women’s interstate hockey team, accompanied by hockey enthusiasts (84 people in total), in a fleet of 17 motor vehicles, drove from Perth to Toodyay for a civic reception and luncheon in the Town Hall. Miss Kathleen Gadsdon, president of the All-Australia Hockey Association, introduced Ignatius George Boyle, Chairman of the Toodyay Road Board. Afternoon tea was enjoyed at Key Farm, the home of Miss Gadsdon.
