This Day in History: 1928-07-07

Stanley M. Bruce, Prime Minister of Australia, attended a reception held by the Toodyay Road Board in the Town Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce, Sir William Lathlain, Vernon Hamersley MLC and party were on a country tour of WA. After an afternoon tea provided by  members of the Toodyay Branch of the Country Women’s Association of Western Australia and Road Board members’ wives, the party returned to Northam and the Bruces caught the train to the Eastern States.
