This Day in History: 1924-06-21
The Bolgart Branch of the Country Women’s Association of Western Australia held its formal inaugural meeting, under the guidance of Mrs. May Smith. Some preliminary meetings had already been held after May had attended a function to hear speakers from the Provisional Committee in Perth in February. May Smith was also the Hon. Secretary of the Country Women’s Association of Western Australia. The inaugural President was Mrs. R.F. (Amelia) Thackray.
