This Day in History: 1919-11-08

A public meeting, convened by the Toodyay Branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, was held in the Toodyay Town Hall to encourage the Toodyay Road Board to pay returned soldiers employed by them, out of its Federal grant, the recommended amount of 10/6 per day, rather than 10/- a day.
