This Day in History: 1910-10-26
At the Toodyay Agricultural Show, improvements undertaken that year by the Toodyay Agricultural Society at the Showgrounds were enjoyed: a large exhibition hall made of jarrah, for the display of farm, garden, and orchard products, which also accommodated a commodious luncheon and tea room, a large substantial grandstand and a picket fence around the whole of the ring. Despite inclement weather, the attendance was the largest ever seen on the ground. Timothy F. Quinlan, Speaker of the House and TAS Patron, was present. (Patron of TAS). Abraham James was the TAS Secretary.
