This Day in History: 1905-04-21

At Easter, the Lee Steere family made a commemorative gift of a brass altar cross and a pair of brass altar vases to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Newcastle, the former in memory of farmer Augustus Frederick Lee Steere and his wife Ellen (nee Roe), and the latter for a deceased brother.
