This Day in History: 1901-10-18
The Wongamine Reserve, on Forrest Road near the Toodyay-Goomalling Shire boundary, was set aside for a ‘Watering and Stopping Place’ for teams and travellers on the old goldfields route between Perth and Coolgardie, at the peak of the goldrush.
