This Day in History: 1899-09-07

A deputation from Newcastle called on various Government ministers in Perth with a list of wants relating to public buildings, water supplies, land development, etc. The deputation, which was accompanied by the Member for the district, Timothy Francis Quinlan, consisted of Mayor William George Leeder, Road Board Member Obadiah Bull and Municipal Councillors Edmund Glover Hasson, Bernard Maurice Connor, James Thomas Wood and Charles George Ellery.
