This Day in History: 1898-09-13

1898 September 13-14: Toodyay Road Board Members John Hugh Phillips and Obadiah Bull attended the first state-wide Roads Boards Conference in the Department of Agriculture boardroom in Perth, WA. The conference was the outcome of a resolution passed by the Eastern Districts Roads Boards’ Association. The meeting was opened by Sir John Forrest.
