This Day in History: 1897-11-17

Barnard Drummond Clarkson laid the foundation stone of the Mombekine Agricultural Hall, on the Toodyay-Goomalling Road. It was designed by architect Howard Evans, and built by Edmund Glover Hasson and William Wallace Hasson. William H. Butterly was Chairman of the Hall committee.
