This Day in History: 1893-09-28

The reserve later named the Wattening Nature Reserve (No. 2393, 40 hectares, 6.5km south-east of Bolgart), was created for the purpose of a ‘Public Utility’, mainly as a watering and resting facility for bullock and horse teams, using the permanent fresh water supply.
