This Day in History: 1887-03-05

1887 March: Alex Glass and his mother discovered a small nugget of gold at Mujakine, 100 miles east of Newcastle, which sparked off the gold rushes to the Yilgarn Goldfields. Charles Glass Snr. received a reward.
