This Day in History: 1880-10-01

Flour from the mills of Charles Edward Dempster (Mill Farm) and Daniel Connor (Newcastle) won awards at the Melbourne International Exhibition (1 Oct. 1880-30 April 1881). Dempster won a second order of merit and Connor a third order of merit. George Munro Whitfield exhibited samples of polished woods.
