This Day in History: 1879-12-24

The election of three members to serve on the Toodyay Road Board for the ensuing year, took place today. Messrs. James Everett, Thomas Donegan, and John Hugh Phillips “are the happy men whose lot it will be to have to please everybody, and yet please nobody, for the next twelve months.” (EDC)
