This Day in History: 1877-03-15
1877 March 15 circa: The Loyal Newcastle Lodge of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows was formed in Newcastle. William Amed Demasson was the first and only Secretary, serving for 42 years until 1919, when the branch was disbanded.
