This Day in History: 1876-07-30
John Acton Wroth, the first and then current Secretary (Clerk) of the Toodyay Road Board, died (aged 46 years) of typhoid fever, in Newcastle. He was succeeded by his eldest son Arthur John Wroth, who retained this position until 1878.
