This Day in History: 1875-11-15

Explorer Ernest Giles and party reached Newcastle via Culham, on their journey from South Australia to Perth. Photographers James Manning and Alfred Chopin recorded the occasion. A suit, made for Giles for the Newcastle celebrations, went temporarily astray.
