This Day in History: 1873-02-27

Samuel Pole Phillips replaced the late James Drummond Jnr. as Chairman of the Toodyay Road Board, a position he held until 1883, apart from a period in 1879-1881, when he was overseas and Daniel Connor was his nominated replacement.
