This Day in History: 1871-11-07

The first District School Board was elected for the Toodyay Educational District, which included Northam and Victoria Plains: members were Frederick Morrell, Barnard Drummond Clarkson, Augustus Frederick Lee Steere, Daniel Connor, Rev. James Mark Innes. [NB Northam set up its own Board in May 1872.]
