This Day in History: 1869-09-01

1869 September: A Toodyay Road Committee was elected to consider the works in progress after the convict parties were withdrawn.

Members were James Drummond Jnr. (chairman), Samuel Pole Phillips, Francis Whitfield Jnr., Charles Edward Dempster, Lionel Boyd Lukin, Frederick Mackie Roe, Ewen Mackintosh, John Henry Monger Jnr. and Abraham W. Morgan.
