This Day in History: 1854-03-04

1854 March: Expiree John Acton Wroth was appointed the Clerk at the Toodyay Convict Hiring Depot, succeeding Thomas Rixon. He was also the first Clerk of Courts for the Toodyay district and the first Clerk to the Toodyay Resident Magistrate, Joseph Strelley Harris.
