This story began with an old postcard in the Toodyay Historical Society Archives featuring seven tiny scenes of Toodyay. The early research into its contents formed the basis of articles in the Society’s newsletter, ‘Duidgeeana’, demonstrating the historical research resources available for members both locally and online. The articles have now been incorporated into this exploration of the eventful life of HG Lamont, a civic-minded entrepreneur who featured briefly in Toodyay’s history.
