THS Vice President Dr. Robyn Taylor gave a presentation on the Toodyay Public Library, built in 1874 as the Newcastle Mechanics’ Institute.

This leaflet was produced as a handout at a free Heritage for Local Government Workshop, held in the hall on 30 May 2023, by the Dept. of Planning, Lands and Heritage, assisted by the Shire of Toodyay.

The Memorial Hall was allocated Category 2 status in the Toodyay Municipal Inventory (2010) and has been in continuous use by Toodyay’s local government and community since 1899.
